PCのメモリテストを行うには・・・
突然PCがリブートしたりハングアップする場合、メモリに問題がある可能性がある。
メモリテストを行うことで、原因がメモリにあるのか否かを特定できるかもしれない。メモリテストによく使われるのは、Memtest86
（http://www.memtest86.com/）だ。Memtest86は、専用のブータブルCDを作成して実行するのが一般的だ。(下記はサイトより抜粋)

また、Fedora CoreやKNOPPIXなどのインストールCDにはMemtest86がインストールされている（注）ので、これを使うこともできる。

Fedora Coreの場合、CD-ROMドライブにインストールCDを入れてPCをブートし、「boot:」というプロンプトが表示されたら、

画面の中央に表示されているのが、テストの結果である。特に注目すべき項目は、「Errors」と「ECC Errs」だ。エラーが発生したときは、その内容が表示される。
画面最下部に使用可能なキーが表示されている。［C］キーを押すとMemtest86
のメニューが表示される。スクロールのロックは［Space］キー、アンロックは［Enter］
キーだ。Memtest86を終了するには［Esc］キーを押す。
